Success story - Autonomous University of Madrid
Support and evolutionary maintenance service for the Alfresco platform
The Autonomous University of Madrid uses the Alfresco platform for document and content management for different internal user groups, making it essential to ensure its maintenance and technological evolution, and to avoid obsolescence in order to guarantee service continuity.

The project
The Autonomous University of Madrid has an Alfresco platform that supports document and content management for different internal groups within the organisation.
Given the critical nature of this platform, the client's main challenge was to guarantee its maintenance in an optimal state, ensuring its correct technological evolution and avoiding obsolescence scenarios that could compromise the service. In this context, the university had recently carried out a version migration, implementing the platform according to the manufacturer's recommendations using a container-based architecture.
The aim of the project was to consolidate this evolution and to continuously ensure the performance, availability and scalability of the platform, adapting it to the current and future needs of internal users.
The challenges
Ensure stable performance on the corporate Alfresco platform
Ensure continuous availability for internal university users
Facilitate future scalability without service degradation
Improve user experience through continuous proactive support

The solution
Izertis offered the Autonomous University of Madrid a comprehensive support, corrective and evolutionary maintenance service for the Alfresco platform, aimed at guaranteeing its long-term stability and evolution.
The service covers the management and support of the core components of the solution, including Alfresco Content Services (ACS), Alfresco Share and ElasticSearch, deployed in a customer-owned on-premise environment.
From a preventive approach, monitoring, analysis and incident resolution tasks are carried out, as well as the application of improvements and updates necessary to anticipate possible problems of technological obsolescence.
The solution allows the university to accompany the evolution of its document platform, aligning the service with the best practices recommended by the manufacturer and with the operational needs of the organisation.
The result
Thanks to the support and maintenance service provided, the Autonomous University of Madrid has a robust, stable Alfresco platform that is ready to evolve over time. The service guarantees the operational continuity of the solution, improving the quality of the service offered to internal users and reducing the risk of incidents arising from technological obsolescence.
The platform's performance and capacity for future growth has also been strengthened, making it easier to adapt to new needs without compromising the user experience.
Ongoing collaboration with Izertis provides the client with a trusted framework for the management of its document platform, ensuring its correct functioning and its alignment with best technological practices.
