Izertis strengthens its alliance with Anthropic and OpenAI to bring generative AI to the Spanish public sector

Izertis has reached a priority collaboration agreement with Anthropic and OpenAI to accelerate the adoption of enterprise-grade generative artificial intelligence solutions across Spanish public sector organisations. The alliance further strengthens the technology consultancy’s role as an integrator and value-added partner at a pivotal moment for the public sector, as it modernises digital services and explores new tools to boost efficiency, improve information management and build a more agile, secure and citizen-centric administration.

The objective is not only to facilitate access to advanced generative AI platforms, but also to ensure they are deployed in a governed, secure and practical manner. To achieve this, Izertis will provide expertise in technology consulting, data governance, cybersecurity, systems integration, training, functional support and change management, with a particular focus on enterprise environments and the specific requirements of public administrations.

This agreement marks an important step in our AI strategy for the public sector

The collaboration comes at a time when generative AI is beginning to play a central role in public sector digital transformation strategies.

The adoption of these technologies requires not only access to advanced capabilities, but also robust governance frameworks, traceability, security, regulatory compliance, interoperability and alignment with the real needs of public services.

"This agreement marks an important step in our AI strategy for the public sector. Generative artificial intelligence has the potential to fundamentally transform the way public administrations manage information, serve citizens, optimise processes and make decisions. However, unlocking that value requires deployment with the right safeguards, governance and a clear vision of public impact", said Director of the Public & Health Business Unit at Izertis.

Among the areas of application that Izertis will promote through this collaboration are intelligent assistants for public sector employees, document analysis, support for administrative procedures, content generation and review, internal productivity enhancement, decision-support systems, the modernisation of digital services and intelligent process automation.

The adoption of generative AI cannot be approached as a simple technology implementation

The offering builds on Izertis’ extensive experience in public sector digital transformation, data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, interoperability and the modernisation of critical systems.

The company also holds a distinctive position in responsible AI and technology governance, having certified its Artificial Intelligence Management System in accordance with the ISO/IEC 42001 standard.

"In the public sector, the adoption of generative AI cannot be approached as a simple technology implementation. It requires a comprehensive model that combines strategy, compliance, data management, security, capability building and ongoing support. This is where Izertis adds value: helping organisations integrate these capabilities in a responsible, practical and sustainable way into their day-to-day operations", added Rafael Hernández Serrano, Head of the AI area at Izertis.

With this agreement, Izertis strengthens its commitment to applied, governed and value-driven generative AI. The technology is expected to improve administrative efficiency, accelerate the modernisation of public services, support public sector employees in their work and foster a more agile, accessible and citizen-focused relationship between public administrations and the citizens they serve.
