Izertis acquires ANZEN Engineering and strengthens its specialisation in Defence, Aerospace and Security
Izertis has completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in ANZEN Engineering, an international engineering company specialising in the development, certification and security of critical systems for the aerospace and defence sectors. The transaction strengthens the technology consultancy’s position in the DAS (Defence, Aerospace and Security) division, one of the group’s three core industry verticals, alongside Life Sciences and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance). This marks Izertis’ third acquisition this year, following the addition of Catalonia-based technology firm ACKstorm and Madrid-based consultancy SADE.
The integration of ANZEN enables Izertis to enhance its position in a highly specialised technological field linked to strategic programmes, regulated environments and systems where safety, reliability, certification and advanced engineering are critical factors. The DAS division accounted for close to 10% of Izertis’ revenue in 2025 and is forecast to reach approximately 15% by the end of the current financial year.
Founded in 2019, ANZEN Aerospace Engineering brings specialised capabilities in critical systems engineering, with a focus on safety, reliability, certification, civil and military airworthiness, cybersecurity applied to aerospace and defence platforms, and the robustness of space systems. These capabilities are relevant to defence programmes, civil and military aircraft, drones, satellites, launchers, space platforms and land-based defence systems.
The company employs around 80 professionals and has offices in Madrid, Lucerne, Munich and Washington, D.C. Approximately 85% of its activity comes from international projects, with participation in strategic programmes in Europe and the United States, including collaborations on projects linked to Boeing, Airbus and the European Space Agency.
ANZEN Engineering brings specialised capabilities in critical systems engineering
ANZEN has developed a 100% organic growth model, without external funding rounds, and with a clear international focus
The company has grown from initial revenues of €75,000 to €5.62 million by the end of 2025, with a forecast close to €10 million for the current year and around €30 million by 2030, in line with its strategic plan.
ANZEN Engineering is also the highest-ranked Spanish company in the Financial Times 1000, the ranking of Europe’s fastest-growing companies in 2026, in which Izertis also appears. Within this ranking, ANZEN has been recognised as the leading company in the Aerospace and Defence sector among Europe’s fastest-growing businesses over the past three years, reinforcing its position as a specialist in critical systems engineering.
According to Pablo Martín, chairman and CEO of Izertis, “the incorporation of ANZEN represents a very significant step in consolidating our DAS strategy, an area we aim to turn into one of Izertis’ main drivers of specialised growth.
The incorporation of ANZEN represents a significant step in our DAS strategy
Defence, Aerospace and Security require highly specific capabilities, with high barriers to entry and a growing need for technology, engineering, certification, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
ANZEN Engineering provides us with expert knowledge, international presence and a distinctive position in strategic programmes, and strengthens our growth model based on greater specialisation, higher added value and a differentiated capability to compete in critical sectors.”
For his part, Pablo de la Cruz Greciet, CEO of ANZEN Engineering, noted that “moving forward alongside Izertis allows us to benefit from a solid supporting structure, greater capacity to access larger-scale programmes and contracts, and to strengthen our position as a trusted partner for existing clients and new opportunities in the industry.”
ANZEN Engineering is a leading firm specialising in high-value, highly specialised engineering
He also emphasised that ANZEN is “a benchmark company in high-value, highly specialised engineering within the aerospace and defence sector.
We share with Izertis the philosophy of focusing on high-value areas, and its capabilities in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity reinforce our own, enabling us to remain at the forefront.”
The acquisition of ANZEN Engineering is part of Izertis’ strategy to strengthen specialisation, gain scale and consolidate its position in higher value-added areas. In April 2026, the technology consultancy integrated Catalonia-based ACKstorm, specialising in cloud-native infrastructures, and Madrid-based SADE, focused on technological solutions for industry and energy.
Three core areas
The integration of ANZEN is aligned with Izertis’ growth strategy, which combines organic and inorganic development, international expansion and the strengthening of distinctive technological capabilities. In this regard, the multinational has focused on three major sectoral areas of specialisation: Defence, Aerospace and Security (DAS); Life Sciences; and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance). All share similar characteristics: highly demanding markets, strong regulatory components, the need for functional expertise and growing demand for advanced technological solutions.
Izertis’ Business Plan 2030 sets a target of achieving revenues of €500 million and normalised EBITDA of €65 million, supported by both organic and inorganic growth, international expansion and the development of capabilities in cybersecurity, data and artificial intelligence, among others. The company closed 2025 with revenues of €166.9 million and normalised EBITDA of €24.1 million.
