Izertis integrates ICA Group's digital transformation business and strengthens its presence in the public sector

The technology consultancy Izertis has just signed the acquisition of the digital transformation business of Grupo ICA, incorporating the companies ICALIA and ICATD, specialised in software development and digital transformation consultancy, and with offices in Barcelona and Madrid. This is the fourth integration of the company in 2,025, the first in Spain, after the British Assured Thought (January) and the May Business Consulting (MBC) group (April) and the Central American group Coderland. This acquisition reinforces the roadmap of the technology multinational, which aims to reach 500 million euros in revenues and 65 million euros of normalised EBITDA in 2,030, combining organic and inorganic growth, with the integration of high value-added companies.

ICALIA and ICATD, based in Barcelona and Madrid respectively, specialise in software development, web and mobile applications, as well as digital transformation consultancy, process digitalisation, systems integration and data intelligence. They have a solid track record in the digital transformation business, with a significant presence in the Public Administration*, and also have an outstanding portfolio of clients in the industrial sector. Revenues for the 2,024 financial year from the business of both companies amounted to EUR 10 million, with a combined EBITDA of EUR 1.13 million, and Izertis has a team of more than 150 professionals.

The CEO of Izertis, Pablo Martín, highlights that the incorporation of ICALIA and ICATD "will allow us to grow in a key sector such as Public Administration, as well as being an important step to reinforce our leadership in Madrid and Barcelona, national strategic poles for digital transformation". Both companies "complement our capabilities and specialisation and consolidate our position as a benchmark technology partner".

For his part, Juan Rivero, CEO of the ICA Group, said that the integration into the Izertis project "means giving continuity to our consolidation strategy in an increasingly specialised market, strengthening our service offering, increasing competitiveness and responding to the challenges of a key area in the digital transformation of many organisations". In addition, he points out, the incorporation of the teams of "highly qualified and experienced professionals" in the multinational technology company will mean a "consolidation both personally and for the business they develop".

Izertis has just presented the first half year-end figures for 2025, with revenues of €78 million and normalised Ebitda of €11 million, up 18.9% year-on-year (€65.6 million in 2,024) and 9.2% (€10.1 million in 2,024) respectively. The Business Plan 2,030 of the Spanish technology consultancy firm plans to triple its size to 500 million in revenues and 65 million in normalised Ebitda.

The annual report of the Spanish Association of Consultancy Firms (AEC) places the Public Administration in second position as a demander of consultancy services (17.2% of the total) after the financial sector (29.1%).
