Izertis incorporates Bit2Me’s services to make crypto-assets more accessible to businesses

The multinational technology company Izertis is strengthening its capabilities in the field of digital assets through a strategic agreement with Bit2Me, Spain’s leading platform and the first Spanish-speaking fintech firm authorised by the CNMV as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under Regulation (EU) MiCA. The partnership will enable the technology firm’s client companies to access solutions linked to the crypto ecosystem, with the regulatory backing and integration required by the business environment.

The adoption of digital assets in the business environment is progressing at a pace that outstrips the capacity of many organisations to respond. Building the necessary infrastructure, complying with the relevant regulatory framework and managing crypto-asset operations securely requires time and resources that are not available to all companies. This agreement lowers that barrier: Izertis acts as an integrator and guide, bringing Bit2Me’s capabilities to any company wishing to take that step, at the time and on the scale of its choosing.

Concrete solutions to real business problems

Regardless of the sector, Izertis’s clients will have access to a range of capabilities that until now required significant in-house development or were the preserve of large corporations:

  • Faster international payments: transfers to suppliers, partners or employees in any country, available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with full traceability for every transaction.
  • Acceptance of payments in crypto-assets: businesses in any sector will be able to receive payments from their customers in crypto-assets, with automatic conversion to euros if they so prefer.
  • Treasury optimisation: use of stablecoins to streamline liquidity management in international transactions, with traceability for every transaction and without relying on bank clearing times.
  • Crypto-asset custody: custody of crypto-assets under the MiCA framework, using the Ledger Enterprise infrastructure and with segregated accounts.
  • New lines of business: financial institutions, fintechs and companies in other sectors will be able to expand their service offering by incorporating crypto-asset services under their own brand, supported by Bit2Me’s infrastructure and compliance framework.

For every project, Izertis takes responsibility for defining, developing and implementing the most suitable solution for each client, ensuring its integration with existing systems and compliance with the regulations applicable in each sector and region.

To this end, it combines the expertise in business processes and financial regulation from its Financial Tech Solutions division with the experience in blockchain solutions from its Emerging Technologies team.

Fernando Pastor, Director of Financial Tech Solutions at Izertis, and Joaquín Precioso Sánchez, Emerging Technologies Manager at Izertis, agree on the extent of the agreement:

Interest in digital assets is no longer confined to the financial sector: industrial firms, retailers and logistics companies are asking us how they can benefit from these technologies in a practical and secure way"

"Unlike many consultancy firms, whose focus tends to be more on strategic reflection regarding blockchain than on its implementation, we draw on our knowledge of the financial sector, its regulation and its treasury processes – knowledge we have developed over many years and which we now apply to any sector. This agreement with Bit2Me provides us with the regulated platform we needed to take that step, backed by the proven execution capabilities that Izertis has demonstrated across multiple sectors."

For his part, Gabriel José Ayala, Director of Banking Solutions at Bit2Me, notes: “European banks do not need to build a crypto stack from scratch. With Izertis as the systems integrator and Bit2Me providing the crypto-asset infrastructure within the European framework, a bank in Spain can bring liquidity, execution and digital operations to its own channels, whilst retaining control over its customers and fulfilling its obligations as a financial institution.”
