Pablo Martín: "We are working to make Izertis bigger and with an even more global footprint"

"Despite all the achievements and the great numbers we have reached, we feel we are only at the beginning of our journey and we are currently working to take important steps to make Izertis a much bigger company than it is today and with an even more global footprint. These are the words of the president and CEO of Izertis, Pablo Martín, after receiving the 'Asturias Company 2025' award that the Asturian Federation of Entrepreneurs (FADE) has granted this year to the technology consultancy.

At a gala held in Gijón, in front of almost 500 business, political, social and cultural representatives from the region, Pablo Martín, gave a speech that combined gratitude, reflection and a call to action for the business community.

The president of Izertis began by recalling the evolution of the company, "a small enterprise born in Gijón" that today has more than 2.500 professionals and a presence in eight countries, from Spain to the United States, Mexico, Panama and Colombia. The consultancy, he recalled, provides services in strategic areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, software engineering and digital transformation consulting, working for global leaders in the pharmaceutical, financial, energy and defence sectors.

Pablo Martín also highlighted recent milestones, such as the company's listing on the Spanish Continuous Market in July, following its time at BME Growth: "This leap allows us to share space with the country's leading companies and to continue to finance our development".

However, the core of the speech was a defence of business growth as a condition for competitiveness: "If we have been able to do it, many others must be able to do it. It is essential for our companies to become bigger in order to be more competitive. Businesses and entrepreneurs need to be even more ambitious".

If we have been able to do it, many others must be able to as well

Pablo Martín insisted on the need for a favourable ecosystem that promotes the creation and consolidation of companies: "In countries governed by democracies, the creators of wealth are exclusively companies and entrepreneurs.

We are all needed, but without businesses there is no wealth to distribute.

To this end, he urged the creation of "a favourable ecosystem so that new companies can develop and continue to grow, creating jobs and wealth. It should be one of everyone's main objectives.

The president closed with a message: "As a proud Asturian, I love 'Asturias, Natural Paradise', but let's remember, as FADE claimed a few years ago, that without businesses there is no paradise.

Along with Izertis, the other two winners were Alvargonzález S.A. and the Oviedo Opera, also symbols of Asturian talent and excellence.
