IZERTIS participates in the TAPIA project
The TAPIA project “Digital passport for regulatory compliance in industry” is presented as an opportunity for the incorporation of distributed ledger and digital identity technologies, specifically through the implementation of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) on blockchain, with the aim of digitalising and tracking the information generated throughout the entire production process of a product, ensuring its transparency, accuracy and security.
The DPP makes it possible to track and access key data about the product (i.e., origin, composition, manufacturing processes, recycling options) and to digitalise it, as well as to ensure compliance with certain environmental regulations. Blockchain technology complements the DPP by providing a layer of immutability and transparency. By recording each transaction and interaction of the product on a decentralised and immutable blockchain, this technology ensures that the data of the digital passport cannot be tampered with. This not only strengthens trust in the authenticity of the information but also facilitates audits and real-time controls.
In this way, TAPIA aims to offer digital solutions based on distributed ledger and digital identity technologies to guarantee:
The digitalisation of documentation and production processes
- Product traceability
- Process control
- The generation of sustainability reports
- Compliance with environmental, social and governance criteria of companies
- The creation of data spaces
The project involves Performance Specialty Products Asturias (DUPONT, coordinator), Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta (CAPSA), ICUBE Ingeniería, SERESCO and IZERTIS.
This project has been co-funded by the Government of the Principality of Asturias through the 2024 call of the SEKUENS Hyperautomation R&D+i projects programme and by the European Union through ERDF (file no. IDE/2024/000917).
