Izertis takes part in the VARKINSON project
The aim of the VARKINSON project is to develop a system to support the diagnosis and monitoring of Parkinson’s disease based on computer vision and using indicators collected by the UPDRS (the globally accepted scale for assessing Parkinson’s disease symptoms, whose goal is to provide objective information in the relevant areas).
To achieve this aim, IZERTIS has the participation, as a subcontracted entity, of the Andalusian Public Foundation for the Management of Health Research in Seville (FISEVI), which provides access to top-level professionals and teams in the field of neurology related to Parkinson’s disease at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBIS) and the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital (HUVR).
This project is funded by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and co-financed by ERDF funds under the modality of an individual R&D project (file IDI-20210602). The duration of the project is from December 2020 to November 2022.
