IZERTIS takes part in the GRAPERTE project

The GRAPERTE project, “Innovative transformation of the wine journey towards a more digitalised and sustainable sector”, aims to drive innovation and digitalisation across the entire wine sector by promoting sustainable, competitive and resilient agri-food production. It is funded through the PERTE Agro-Food initiative within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (Next Generation funds).

This initiative, led by the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV), encompasses 11 primary projects involving a total of 19 wineries and companies from the auxiliary wine sector. These projects are grouped into the three pillars defined by the PERTE scheme: competitiveness (digitalisation), sustainability, and traceability.

Specifically, IZERTIS participates in primary project PP08 alongside Bodega González Byass, Bodega Matarromera, Bodegas Bilbaínas, Bodegas Martín Codax, Bodegas Montecillo, Bodegas Riojanas, Bodegas Terras Gauda, Bodegas y Viñedos Val Travieso, Codorniú, Comenge Bodegas y Viñedos, Grandes Vinos y Viñedos, Miguel Torres, Sinalcohol and Viña Costeira. The main objective of this project is to research disruptive technologies based on blockchain and artificial intelligence to track the “wine journey” from vineyard to consumer in an open, reliable and sector-wide shared manner, with particular attention to sustainability and adaptability to future changes.

GRAPERTE has a budget of over €10 million and has received more than €5 million in funding from NGEU funds under the first call of the PERTE Agro-Food programme, managed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (file no. PAG-010000-2023-20).
