Juan Carlos Ureta Domingo

Mr. Juan Carlos Ureta has more than 40 years of experience and an extensive professional career, demonstrated by his senior executive and governance roles in entities within the financial sector.

Mr. Ureta, a State Lawyer at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (currently on leave) and a Stockbroker of the Madrid Stock Exchange, has held top-level positions in private companies and on Boards of Directors (including the Governing Company of the Madrid Stock Exchange, the Securities Clearing and Settlement Service (Iberclear), Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, and Indra Sistemas, among others). He has also served as Chairman of the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts and of the Financial Studies Foundation. He is currently Executive Chairman of Renta 4 Banco, S.A., a company he founded in 1986 as a securities firm specialising in wealth management and capital markets, which is listed on the stock exchange.

He holds a degree in the Legal-Economic specialisation (Lawyer-Economist) from the University of Deusto in Bilbao, where he was awarded the Extraordinary End-of-Studies Prize and the First National Prize for Completion of University Studies.

In addition, Mr. Ureta has been a tenured professor of Civil Law at the University of Deusto and is the author of various specialist publications on legal and financial matters.
