Irene Sáenz De Santa María Valín

With nearly 15 years of experience in prestigious Spanish law firms based in Madrid (Araoz y Rueda, Maio Legal) and specialising in advising listed companies and those supervised by the CNMV, Ms Irene Sáenz de Santa María has held the position of Non-Director Secretary to the Board of Directors of IZERTIS since June 2021. She is also the Group’s Legal Director, a role in which she manages the company’s relations with regulatory authorities (BME Growth, the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission – CNMV) and leads the Group’s legal team on all legal matters, particularly in corporate transactions involving mergers, acquisitions and financing at both the national and international levels. She plays an active part in the team responsible for managing the Group’s inorganic growth.

As a specialist in Commercial, Financial and Banking Law, she has taken part in numerous national and international mergers and acquisitions, and has provided corporate and banking advice to Spanish and multinational companies, mainly across the technology, industrial, energy and banking and investment sectors, as well as to listed companies such as Vértice Trescientos Sesenta Grados, S.A. (now Squirrel Media S.A.), Compañía de Inversiones Mobiliarias Barcino S.A. and Carbures Europe S.A. (now Airtificial Intelligence Structures S.A.).

She holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration and Management (E-3 Programme) from Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE) and has also pursued business studies at the Haute Études de Commerce, University of Lausanne (Switzerland). In addition, she trained at IE Business School, completing Advanced Programmes in Corporate Legal Advice and in Business Acquisitions.
