Izertis will be in charge of the implementation of the Electronic Administration of the Balearic Islands Parliament

The technology consultancy firm Izertis has been awarded the public tender contract for the implementation of a Document Management and Electronic Archive System in the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, which will allow the management of all digitised documentation and integration with the different internal processing tools, with the aim of ensuring the registration and preservation of documents and electronic files.

The aim of this tender is to continue the process of digital transformation, with the intention of modernising and innovating services to citizens, deputies, companies and other public administrations, working on technological improvement, budgetary efficiency and governance.

This project aims to provide Parliament with the necessary infrastructure, laying the foundations for a new model that guarantees the correct management of electronic documentation generated during administrative and parliamentary activity throughout its life cycle. It also highlights the work included in these specifications, such as the conversion from paper to electronic documentation management.

The Balearic Islands is at a key moment in the digital transformation of the Parliament, and for us it is a privilege to be able to accompany them with our professionals at this historic moment

The document manager, the archive and its integration into different processing applications are "the cornerstones of Parliament's entire e-administration strategy". This platform is used to develop all the documentary and archival objects corresponding to the different administrative and parliamentary processing processes, according to the Technological and Patrimonial Management Area of the organism.

Therefore, the aim is to set up a scenario in which electronic processing "should be the usual action of administrations on multiple aspects of internal management, relations with the public and their relations with each other", they explain.

"The Balearic Islands is at a key moment in the digital transformation of the Parliament, and for us it is a privilege to be able to accompany them with our professionals at this historic moment. Our experience in both national and international administrations will help us to create synergies together, with which we can streamline tasks that often slow down the daily work of the administration's staff", has highlighted Joan Ramón Guillén, Head of Public & Health at Izertis.

The technology company Izertis is one of the best-known consultancy firms for public administration in Spain. It is currently in charge of several digital transformation projects for autonomous communities such as the Community of Madrid, Cantabria and the Xunta de Galicia. On a national level, it is in charge of work for several of the most important government ministries, as well as contracts in the international arena, such as those undertaken for the European Defence Agency and the World Bank.
