Izertis joins the Global Alliance for the development of LACChain in Latam and the Caribbean

Our company joins to the Global Alliance for the development of the blockchain ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean: LACChain with the aim of collaborating in the dissemination and development of blockchain project materials.

The incorporation of our firm as a partner is carried out with the objective of sharing relevant information, promoting projects and developing new materials and concepts such as blockchain infrastructure between our company and the innovation laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Lab) to join the global alliance LACChain for the development of the blockchain ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The alliance between the two establishes areas of cooperation together, among which the following stand out:

  1. Share relevant and complementary information about the blockchain-based services that our firm and the Project are developing and offering.
  2. Promotion of the “Blockchain bases academic passport for the Caribbean”.
  3. Development of new materials, tools and concepts, such as blockchain infrastructure, blockchain-based digital identity or token fiat money.

"The incorporation of Izertis reflects a common goal: to accelerate the enablement and adoption of blockchain technology by fostering innovation to reduce inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean" has highlighted Alejandro Pardo, Lead of LACChain and main specialist of BID Lab.

For his part, Urko Larrañaga, our Lead of Blockchain, has declared "for us, this alliance is an essential step to continue advancing in our blockchain expansion strategy at a global level, and will allow us to expand our framework of action to all of Latin America and the Caribbean."

In this way, now the alliance is made up of 40 allies from the blockchain environment supporting public-private partnerships and solutions based on blockchain in 12 countries of the region, which currently supports the development of 28 projects in the LACChain blockchain, with 88 nodes and 41 entities that execute nodes in a history of more than 21 million blocks.

LACChain is a global alliance made up of different actors in the blockchain environment, led by the innovation laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Lab) for the development of the blockchain ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Its objective is to accelerate the enablement and adoption of blockchain technology in the region for the promotion of innovation, the reduction of economic, social, gender and any other inequalities, the promotion of the quality and safety of the jobs, promoting financial inclusion, consumer protection and market integrity. To do this, LACChain focuses on two main pillars: community and infrastructure.

The expected results are based on the empowerment of people, the improvement in digital security, the generation of trust in the economy and the digital society, promoting the efficient use of energy, thus supporting inclusive growth, well-being, rights human and core values.
