Sidertia by Izertis, leading company at the most important cybersecurity event in Latam

This was the third year that we have attended the 'Jornadas STIC Capítulo': Dominican Republic', host country for this edition. This is the largest cybersecurity event in LATAM, where we have had the privilege of attending as a PLATINUM sponsor, contributing our efforts and commitment to the creation of a secure cyberspace for Ibero-America.  

This STIC Conference has managed to bring together 450 attendees in person and more than 1000 users from 32 countries in online mode. In total, more than 1,450 industry professionals attended the most important cyber security event to date. They have been organised at the international level by the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN), the National Intelligence Centre (CNI), the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) of Spain and the National Investigation Department (DNI) of the Republic. The conference was also supported by the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).  

More than 70 speakers from 14 countries took part, including our colleague Alejandro Martín, who spoke during his presentation on "Incident under control, what do I do now?" in which he provided information on the importance of prevention in the field of incident response. 

Cybersecurity helps us to ensure economic stability, national security and public trust

In today's technology-driven age, such cybersecurity events are extremely useful and relevant as cybersecurity helps us to ensure economic stability, national security and public trust in organisations and institutions in the modern digital age. 

This III Conference in Punta Cana has brought together experts and authorities in the field from various organisations and nations to share and exchange knowledge on cybersecurity. In conclusion, the event was a resounding success in boosting cooperation against cyber-threats. 

Esperanza Casteleiro, secretary of state and director of the CNI, and the director of the National Department of Investigations (DNI) of the Dominican Republic, Luis Soto, were in charge of the closing ceremony. Finally, the vice-president of the Dominican Republic, Raquel Peña, and the ambassador of Spain in the country, Antonio Pérez-Hernández y Torra, showed their firm commitment to the main objective of maintaining security in cyberspace in all Ibero-American countries.
