The services are split into different execution phases, comprising an analysis of the current situation in terms of its level of digitalisation, and an assessment of its potential to improve in business processes.
Establishing lines of action, accompanied by a cost-benefit analysis, will also act as a support for both decision making and prioritising to define the set of projects needed to achieve the digital transformation of the GPA and the development of corresponding plans, with a global focus in terms of the Port Authority’s competencies and functions.
The proposed actions seek to improve the productivity of the processes, incorporating actions and processes that imply better management practices, as well as redesigning processes where necessary.
An additional proposal is the establishment and implementation of strategic technology lines, along with the design of infrastructures, hardware and software selection, and the selection of the most optimum technical solutions. Furthermore, complementary implementation plans have been developed, as well as procurement documentation, undertaking the control and follow up of contracts and assisting the Gijon Port Authority throughout its complete fulfilment in the 2019-2022 period.
