Challenges

To address the specific challenges and needs of advanced manufacturing through a disruptive technology such as blockchain.

To ensure the interoperability of blockchain with existing protocols and systems in industry.

To design identity management mechanisms, a specialised transaction registry, consensus algorithms, and smart contract and operations automation mechanisms tailored to the current needs and systems of industry.

Solution

A blockchain platform for Industry 4.0 has been created, allowing project members to develop prototypes in laboratory or controlled environments, as well as to validate, experiment with, and analyse new products and services based on the technology that can provide them with a competitive advantage.
