Proyecto Atomoris

Izertis participates in the ATOMORIS project to strengthen the Basque industrial fabric

Our firm participates in the ATOMORIS project, which aims to define procedures and develop platforms to introduce cybersecurity throughout the life cycle of industrial products and systems through the use of agile development methodologies, automation tools and advanced maintenance strategies.

This initiative takes a comprehensive approach through the adoption of the SecDevOps culture, widely used in the field of software development, to adapt it to the needs of cybersecurity with the particular characteristics of industrial companies in the Basque Country, thus allowing the term "Industrial SecDevOps" to be coined.

Among the functions performed by our technology, it is highlighted the automation of tests of different nature such as security, functional, performance, among others, focused on validating the functionality (new or existing) of the systems under test and monitoring them.

All our new projects related to test automation, performance, cybersecurity and operations will have a competitive advantage over more traditional ways

"ATOMORIS is the culmination of an idea we have been developing for years across multiple customers. Thanks to this investment in R&D, all our new projects related to test automation, performance, cybersecurity and operations will have a competitive advantage over more traditional ways of executing SecDevOps projects" has commented Jose Aracil, our Head of Quality Assurance.

Several objectives are pursued through this proposal, such as strengthening the competitive position of Basque industry, promoting internationalisation, generating technologies and processes for multi-sectoral application in priority areas and increasing the level of cybersecurity of products, services and processes of companies, among others.

At a technological level, ATOMORIS aims to streamline product development processes for industrial systems, facilitate the management of cybersecurity in complex and old infrastructures, adopt the best practices of the SecDevOps culture and provide a comprehensive solution to ensure cybersecurity throughout the supply chain.

In order to achieve the objectives set by this project, several companies, together with our consultancy firm, will provide their expertise to meet this technological challenge, among them, Accenture, Sherpa.ai, S21sec, Fagor, Ulma Packaging, Ingeteam, Merytronic and Bexen Medical.

Likewise, ATOMORIS, whose estimated completion date is December 2023, responds to the Basque Country's commitment to align itself with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) approved by the United Nations General Assembly, which has already been incorporated into the Euskadi Basque Country 2030 Agenda.
